Chien Garsen has been around forever. It is a family owned restaurant and they know and recognize all of us who have been eating there for years. I recommend the Sachuan (sp?) beef.
Our family has been coming here since 1985. They are like family to us. The food is a Chinese with a little Korean flavor. This is a favorite among the spicy crowd . The noodles are fresh and the meat is tender. I couldn't ask for anything more.
I'm no expert on Chinese, but.... I really like Chin Garden! I have been eating here for 20+ years, and it never disappoints. While there are likely plenty of "Americanized" dishes, I know there are more authentic dishes, as I see a lot of Asian folks eating here, and I was told early on when asking about some of the more unusual items that I would not like them. LOL Well, some I don't, but some are pretty good.
I have to say my favorite dishes here are Orange Chicken and Orange Beef, with generous helpings of actual orange, not just rinds. And the egg rolls are some of my favorites too.
Atmosphere may seem a bit tired, with the old school Chinese lanterns, large 3D wall mural, embellished ceiling tiles, etc... but I find this a charming contrast to the many generic interiors, and places where you wouldn't know if your in Burger King or whatever.
Service is always great, several of the servers have been there for years. They are accommodating if you wish to modify a dish- delete onions, add broccoli, etc....
